Every Thought Word And Work

Since we received Jesus, has our every thought, word and work been in His control? Complete commitment is what He wants and deserves. And it should be our desire. It is a lofty and impossible goal for us to accomplish in our own power. But it is not impossible with His help. Do we make an effort to please Him in all three areas? Do we want to think what He wants us to think? Do we want to say what He wants us to say? Do we want to do what He wants us to do? Are our works committed unto Him? Do we study the Bible? Do we ask for His help in all three areas of our lives? We desperately need it.

John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Proverbs 16:3: Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

2 Corinthians 10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Romans 12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:16: Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, 17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Luke 12:11: And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: 12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Matthew 12:36: But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Psalms 141:3: Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

2 Timothy 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Do we ask Him to work in us and do we then surrender to Him and cooperate with Him? How often do we hold out on Him?

Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

1 Corinthians 3:9: For we are labourers together with God: ye are God*s husbandry, ye are God*s building.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

If we are saved, thinking what He wants us to think, saying what He wants us to say and doing what He wants us to do are things He has saved us for. He has not just saved us to keep us out of Hell and take us to Heaven.
